Last of the Mohicans Elk Hunt?
In the movie the Last of the Mohicans the opening scene shows the three main characters hunting an elk by chasing after it. Do some people hunt like this in real life now or at any time in the past?
Yes, some people still hunt like this to some degree. Moose and caribou are both hunted sometimes in this manner, though it is not the preferred manner as the meat of an animal that has been chased like that is not as good to eat as the meat of an animal that has been quietly stalked and not chased.
