Ornithologists… a question about arctic horned owls?

I seem to have what appears to be a mated pair or family duo in my back yard. Are these rare or common birds for the North Dakota/Minnesota area? I’ve never seen them here before. I woke up this morning to the “who-whoing” and snapped a quick picture.

UP, northern horned owls are not as rare around here (Bemidji, MN area) as you would think. They along with the Barred owl are VERY common in this area and throughout the region.
