Can wolverine’s (marvel comics) claws be cut by a lightsaber?
There is a debate going on in my school and i would like to see peoples answers.
Adamantium can be manipulated with extreme heat or extreme magnetisation. Magneto was able to liquify it and draw it out via Logan’s pores.
It can be moulded if you heat it up enough, when it was injected into Wolverine, it was in its molten state, yes? And then as it hit his cold bones, it hardened. The claws extend through his skin, slightly liquid still, and harden as they touch the air.
While not in contact with air, adamantium is most likely a sort of putty, which hardens as the temperature becomes cooler. It hardens as it becomes closer to the surface of Logan’s skin, and becomes solid when in contact with oxygen. Closer to his heart, it’s probably near-molten, but of course it sticks to his bones like glue, because what’s the use of a superhero with adamantium in his stomach? He can’t digest it, therefore he’ll die, and also because there is oxygen in his blood, which keeps it cool enough to not drip.
So, in answer to your question, most probably, though to be certain you’d need to find out how hot a lightsabre is.
Unfortunately, we don’t have that sort of plasma, and adamantium doesn’t exist (yet), so you’ll have to just use this as a theory.
